    Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Suggestions?

I want to get a new mouse and keyboard for christmas, so right now Im looking at the Logitech G110 Keyboard and Logitech G700 Mouse.

I will be primarily playing RTS games eg: HoN, DotA 2, SC2

Right now my reasoning for the G110 is because of the extra USB port.
I dont really have a good reason to get the G700 right now besides that my friend told me to.

    Any suggestions?

I have the G110 on another computer and it's a good keyboard, lots of macro options and easy to program. I use the G510 now and it's very similar to the G110 with an LCD screen.
The G500 is a great mouse and is a nice wired alternative to the G700.

Forget the Logitech - grab a mechanical keyboard with either cherry MX Blues or MX Brown switches. A lot of RTS players seem to prefer Blues.

There are other switches, MX Reds (very light actuation) or MX Black (Heavy actuation) that are more suited to non-RTS games. These are either love or hate switches. I hated MX Reds because they are too light, but I love MX blacks. Others hate Blacks, but love Reds etc.

(After years of 'gaming' rubber domed boards - I've found mech boards to be a breath of fresh air. It's a personal opinion, as well as many other converts, that mech boards are simply better all round. )

DAS models have a USB hub (no idea where you're from, but here's an example)

    Metadot Das Keyboard Professional Model S Mechanical Keyboard - Metadot - DASK3PROMS1 (8 55800 00116 6)

Some 'others' that have USB ports:

SteelSeries 7G Professional, Corsair Vengeance K90 MMO, Razer BlackWidow/Ultimate

*NB some of these others, like the Razer and Corsair are 'hybrids' - not all keys are mechanical switches.

There are plenty to choose from - although the DAS is probably the 'best quality that matches your requirements. The others, like the Razer - aren't in the same quality sphere as the DAS.

If there is a 'downside' to mech boards, it's that they are louder to type on. MX Blues/Browns are tactile 'clicky' switches. Blues are the loudest.

As for mice, I've been using a Razer Imperator 2012 and it's turned out to be the most accurate and comfortable mouse I've used for years. But when it comes to mice, there is definitely 'one' no mouse that suits all.

I had that keyboard and to be brutally honest - it's an absolute piece of crap. NKO (rollover/ghosting) problems, crap macro implementation and overall crap quality. Didn't even last 10 months. (It did look cool while it lasted though )

I am running a Z merc keyboard Amazon.com: Ideazon MERC Gaming Keyboard: Electronics....works real well for the GTA series...It doesn't like spills, but it has come back wash after wash....I prefer a wireless mouse since the cord has a tendency to get tangled at the worst possible times/resulting in the Zmerc getting another Coke bath....

Other than that I'm not real picky about the mouse...The Blue track on the Microsoft 5000 works well but the side buttons are tiny, and the scroll is erratic, but it'll work for now:)

I can't help you with the keyboard, but I'm using a Logitech G700 mouse and am loving it.
