Any way to disable GFWL for these games? Hey guys,
Some games I own use the cursed GFWL. Now, with some of my games, such as GTA IV and Fallout 3, I've been able to disable them. But the other games I have, which are BioShock 2, Bulletstorm, Gears of War, and Halo 2, I can't find a way to disable GFWL. Is there anyway I can do so?

Slasher i'm pretty sure the GFWL client is there for online playability, you dont need to use it if you dont want to, so you could complete a game and not even see the GFWL client whatsoever, however, if you want to disable it, then you could uninstall it and/or maybe delete the files from the directory so it doesn't boot up, but i think this will stop the game working. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Q6600 @ 3Ghz Motherboard Evga NF78-CK-132-A 3-Way SLI Memory 4Gb DDR2 Corsair Dominator @ 1066Mhz 5-5-5-15 Graphics Card EVGA 560 GTX SC FTW 1GB Sound Card Realtek ALC888 HD 7.1 Audio, logitech G35 7.1 headset Monitor(s) Displays Dell S2409W 16:9, HDMi, DVI & VGA Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech generic keyboard Mouse Razor Lachesis Banshee V2 Blue, 4000DPI PSU Xigmatek 750W Quad sli quad core 80% eff Case Antec 900 Gaming Case Cooling Zalman CNPS9700-NT NVIDIA Tritium Hard Drives Samsung 7200rpm 250Gb SATA

Sorry, but what you are saying is false... The GFWL client is forced, whether you like it or not. For example, Fallout 3, it doesn't have multiplayer at all, yet GFWL is forced down onto it. I was able to remove that with a patch I found on Fallout Nexux. I also found XLiveless on gta.wikia.com to disable GFWL from GTA 4, but all my other games I can't find a disabler. If you uninstall GFWL, games that require it will not run at all, and if you delete the files... Same thing, it won't run at all. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion dv6-2020ev OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 720QM Motherboard Its a HP secret... Ok fine then. I want to remove it because:
1. It makes backing up save data a major hassle (when re-formatting Windows), and often the save data stops working (Halo 2, Gears of War). I hate having to play all over again...
2. It reduces frames per second in games, such as Fallout 3, which I have removed.
3. Having to wait for GFWL to load so I can start playing...
Ect. ect. I hate it, and want to disable it from any game possible. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion dv6-2020ev OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 720QM Motherboard Its a HP secret... Ect. ect. I hate it, and want to disable it from any game possible. Cloud services have been introduced to GFWL now, it's just like steam for saving games. But I understand your feelings towards it, and I do not have a solution for you apart from scouring forums for successful removals. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Q6600 @ 3Ghz Motherboard Evga NF78-CK-132-A 3-Way SLI Memory 4Gb DDR2 Corsair Dominator @ 1066Mhz 5-5-5-15 Graphics Card EVGA 560 GTX SC FTW 1GB Sound Card Realtek ALC888 HD 7.1 Audio, logitech G35 7.1 headset Monitor(s) Displays Dell S2409W 16:9, HDMi, DVI & VGA Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech generic keyboard Mouse Razor Lachesis Banshee V2 Blue, 4000DPI PSU Xigmatek 750W Quad sli quad core 80% eff Case Antec 900 Gaming Case Cooling Zalman CNPS9700-NT NVIDIA Tritium Hard Drives Samsung 7200rpm 250Gb SATA
