    Street Fighter 4 crashes when launched - Fatal Error

    I've been playing Street Fighter 4 perfectly until i tried to today.
    Over the weekend I had some friends over and i hooked up my computer to a projector that one of the guys brought over, so that we could game out. Everything worked fine.

    But today i tried to play using my regular monitor, and i get this message;

    Fatal Error

    Failed resetting the Direct3D device.

    Other games run perfectly (Pro Street/Grid/COD 4/ PoP)

    I'm running Windows 7 RC (7100)
    GPU - Radeon 3850 AGP
    CPU - Athlon X2 2.7ghz
    RAM - 2GB

    ALL drivers are up to date, including Direct X.

    street fighter 4/windows 7

    Hello. First of all, I am glad to hear street fighter 4 works on windows 7. All of the googles response to street fighter 4/windows 7 posted by users have been unsuccesful. So good to know You got it to work on windows 7.
    As to your problem. Easy. You played successfully on your computer prior to hooking it up to a different monitor. In this case, a projector. Your projector changed the default settings in your system. Simply system restore it to the date before the projector or just restore the system back to its original settings when you first purchased. I am 99.9% sure this will work .

    yes, but this will take out all of youre personalisation. So, i recommend going to right click on desktop --> screen resolution --> press detect, and chose the one that is recommended. then change your resolution to the right one.

    This question if for Coolness: I 've been doing alot of googles research and found that the street fighter 4 (xp/vista) works on windows 7 ultimate(64 bit). I personally don't have windows 7 and my conclusion is based on youtube and googles response. I see you have windows 7 professional. Do you have street fighter 4 and does it work on your windows 7 professional? Thank You.

    Well, I dont have Street fighter, so sorry. But i dont think the issue here is in the game, its just the settings. Also, if you've done a lot of searching, and ppl say it works, and this guy says it works, it probably works. Its alright, you can buy it =P

    thanks guys. i am somewhat on a budget. and since dell and hp only sells windows 7 now i 'm trying to get a computer as inexpensive as possible. windows 7 home cost much less than windows 7 ultimate. so i figure if SF4 works on windows 7 home, why spend more money buying ultimate? i am still trying to research on whether anyone have windows 7 home can play on SF4. better yet, maybe windows 7 32 bit will work. so i just need to find the "minimum" windows 7 OS that works so i don't need to spend more than i have to. Thanks again.
