    Image Tearing with V-Sync On?

So I turned on V-Sync and Triple Buffering - what's interesting is it doesn't actually seem to apply as i'm still able to achieve over 60 frames per second (my screen can only do a maximum of 60hz).

The tearing in Dirt 3 is pretty bad as in some scenes, it can generate 130 fps - is it time for a faster screen? but, I guess more importantly, why isn't the AMD CCC actually applying V-Sync to Dirt 3?

    Thanks!

hmm, vsync works properly here with my dirt3 and hd6950 card. rock-steady 60fps. couldn't seem to get any screenshots, oh well.

you say you're forcing vsync in ccc? how about in the game's graphic options?

maybe try turning off in ccc - and just having it on in the game?

(i don't personally have ccc installed)

*edit* managed to get a screenie in windowed mode - see top-right for framrate

That was it! Thanks, much smoother now.

Turns out that the settings in Dirt3 over-ride CCC.
