Cannot install game on 64bit Windows 7

    Hi.

I am trying to install Sabrina, the Teenage Witch: Spellbound on my 64bit Home Premium copy of Windows 7. The launcher runs when I put the disc in, but when I click install I get the following message:
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I've tried running the game in Windows 98 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator but with no results!

Any help would be much appreciated!!

It's not compatible with 64-bit os, and you indicated. And doesn't seem to run in compatibility mode. The only thing I can suggest is to run a virtual computer (e.g., Virtualbox, VMWare Player) and install a compatible operating system with the game.

    Hi -

Is there a free way of doing this? I don't have a copy of Windows 98/XP/etc.

I believe this is what you are looking for... Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

Hi. Thanks, but I'm not running Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate. I'm on Home Premium.

I have Home Premium too, and have had a lot of trouble with 64/32 bit compatibility.

The chances are that the game has a 16-bit installer (many still do). These cannot be installed on a 64-bit system, since support for 16-bit installers has been removed. This also goes for 32-bit machines running as a VM with a 64-bit host.
