A brand new IP for id Software (of Doom and Quake fame), this all-new title utilizes the company's unique id Tech 5 technology,
aiming to incomparable new levels of graphic presentation in artistic expression and graphic fidelity.
    More

this looks INSANE! like Half-Life 2, Fallout 3, and Bioshock, on crack, rolled into one glorious mass.
coming soon to a console/PC near you. (more than likely Q1 of 2010)

Admitedly, ID made pretty games but they're generally pointless and mindless. Let's hope this franchise has substance to go along with the pretty visuals.

And since this is an Electronics Arts title, expect draconian DRM to ruin the experience.

True. But I doubt this will be any different.

I actually shudder a little when I see "Electronic Arts" these days

Let's hope there's a good plot/story to go with it & it's not the usual 'Linear' (Go here & only here) playability.

EA should stick to adding DRM to arcade racers (Burnout anyone? )

Visuals do look excellent, here's hoping it's any cop

I dont think EA will be using that draconian DRM crap anymore. i was just reading an article which stated that they were sued twice, because of spotty business ethics regarding how the DRM is installed without user consent. their latest "big one" Sims 3 just uses a good old fashioned CD key. of course it checks to see if the key is legit, but other than that, there's no other online authentication.
lets hope they keep it that way.

this game does look so damn pretty. which reminds me? wasnt id soft taken over by Bethsoft?, maybe thats why it resembles fallout 3 (just a tad)

    -edit-
Id is owned by Zenimax. they're the sister company of Bethesda Softworks (creators of fallout 3, Oblivion ), and have the rights to Rage. i forgot i posted that story a while back. -source
