Best headsets/ What headset do you use.

So the other day, my cord got tangled in my chair.
My G35 dropped right on the part where the headband, and earphone meet and needless to say it snapped.

I am using a friends razer carcharias.

I loved the G35, I only got it because it was 1/2 off on boxing day. I can not see my self spending 150$ on another headset. I also think the carcharias is a piece of junk.

So I am wondering what headsets you use, estimated price if possible and what headset you would recommend. I use the headset for games, some videos nothing to special. As always, cheaper the better.

i've got a cheap creative fatal1ty headset, only cost me about £30 = $45/50 canadian dollars.

quality is surprisingly good, with an inline volume control and a mic on/off switch. you can detach the mic if you want.

i only use it for gaming and online uni tutorials, and it's perfect for that. reasonable comfort too, even after a coupla hours. i've got a big head (literally and metaphorically), and there's plenty of adjustment on the headband, so it doesn't feel too tight.

at the price, it's not made for audiophiles, but it doesn't sound bad at all.

i've never owned another headset, so i can't compare it to anything else.

Thanks for a picture with the comment.
I was looking at a creative headset. Price isnt too big of an issue for me, but if I can find a good gaming set for $50 im more then happy with it.
A few more questions on the headset, how is the padding on the earphones firm or really soft? I dont want the headphones to touch my ears if that makes sense. Also whats the bass like, and is it 5.1 or just regular stereo sound?

    Hi
Just order these Sennheiser PC 360 G4ME Headset. They will cost you more than 50. The PC 360 weighs 300g so will be very light on the head. Just do a google for reviews and there are some on youtube also.

the padding is medium soft i suppose, cushioned with a bit of give.

touch your ears? i suppose it depends how big your ears are - they just about go over mine without actually touching them, well maybe a bit, not uncomfortably so.

bass isn't bad at all, and they're just regular stereo 2.0

it's a shame you can't test them in the shop first, isn't it?

I will have to look into the seinheiser, but touching my ears I mean is the padding this enough that the actual earphone does not touch my ears. Ive had headphones in the past that compress into the head for a noise cancelling effect but the pading was soft so the actual sound part would touch my hears. I found that annoying.

my ears have made contact with the (top and bottom) sides of the foam (but then i do have big ears to go with my big head), but never made contact with the actual speaker. the foam is deep enough to prevent that.
