    desktop turned uoside down


    My wife let one of grandkids play with her laptop and he was playing some game, 5 and does not remember. But he managed to turn desktop upside down. I tried display setting to no avail and I know nothing about games. Please advise

    try this,standing on your head click, start menu/ control panel /Display/ on the left select "change display settings" ..
    in the window that opens click the dropdown and select landscape.
    Hopefully this will sort it for you.

From time to time, one or more icons on my desktop become invisible. I finally got smart and used Everything to search for them, and saw they were still in the Desktop directory. I then made a shortcut and put that on the desktop -- but how can I restore the original and prevent this happening...

Hi Folks, As crazy as it sounds, that's what happened while I was doing a variety of installs of addons for my Microsoft Flight Simulator FSX program. At some point I noticed that all of my desktop icons had lost their individual picture (graphics) and instead all of them had the Notepad graphic...
EDIT: I am no longer have this problem. My system works normally after i enabled at least 1 windows gadget. EDIT 2: Sorry, i still have this problem but since i now needed a gadget (clock), the problem gone. You can also fix this by having at least 1 program of any kind running on your windows.
