Problem with gtx285 and TF2

Hi all,, I am new to this site and so far i like it...

I have a problem when I play TF2 with my new card evga gtx285 my FPS is only around 50-60 however when I play with my old HD4870 i get 140-150 fps.
I got all the newest drivers and what I think the problem lies somewhere with in the nvida control pannel because there is many more option than in CCC and I am not familiar with them...

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

try this.

Quote:
1. First open the steam window and click games

2. now right click on counter strike source and then click properties

3. A window should pop up

4. From here click "Set Launch options"

5. A small window will come up it

Type in -dxlevel 90
seems that valves games arent really dx10 friendly yet. so running them in dx9 mode should help. hope it helps, good luck
