I have to agree with you. It does get dull rather quickly.

Button mashing distracts from the storyline, which IMO is not all that interesting. You'd think with Salvatore writing the lore, they could have done a better job crafting the storyline around it.

With the tools they had, they could have easily disabled the aim/stuttering effect while not in combat making the graphics become a decent part of the game, instead of the blur they become when moving.

That being said, if you enjoy a good slash and hack RPG you may very well enjoy this game.
