Dosbox trouble rong keys typed in games

I have dosbox on another comp and it plays all my old dos games without flaw.

Then i got my new 7 computer and im having trouble using dosbox.

First of all when i try to type C:\ it types C;/ or something to that effect.

I remember i had this problem on another computer and was able to fix it but sadly i forgot how i did it

Second problem is the resolution isn't quite right in dosbox.

For example i type "mount c c:\folder of game" and when i full screen it chops the mount command out of view. it is still there i just cant see it.

I have been able to get past the wrong key problem by making my own batch files to the games and folders its just i have a lot of games and it's a pain to try and make batches for all of them.

The resolution is a real pain when playing the games on it though

    Thanks for any help :)

You can try using D'Fend Reloaded. Its a GUI front end for DOSBox.
Setting up games is quite easy in D'Fend and it has a database of around 400 games. If the game you are setting up is in the list, then the configuration is done automatically.

    Thanks for the reply

Sorry i have not replied back in a while due to me being off the comp for a while.

I will look into the program you suggested thanks :)

I have experimented with gui's for dos but found most of them buggy.

I know how to use dos and know all of its commands but still a gui is a lot nicer to work with than trying to memorize all the folders you have lol

p.s. does anyone know how to fix the resolution issue i was talking about earlier

In the DOSBox folder that is created in the Start menu, and then in the Configuration folder under that, is there a setting that can be changed with Edit Configuration that can be used to solve any video problems you are having?
