I guess opinions vary and I also like the first 3 but the 4th one... I beg to differ by a New York Mile
I've been playing Borderlands lately. Fuuuun game.
For me -
1. Crysis + Warhead - IMHO will never be matched
2. COD 2 - I have only played the campaign 20 times through
3. RAGE - Very underrated game, love it!
4. BF3 - My favorite multiplayer game
Yeah... I have a hard time rating these because I'm not an online multi-player fan.
BF3 and MW3 were both heavy on that with the single player campaigns thrown in as almost an after thought.
..nothing seems appealing to me about listening to a 13 yr old talk smack while sniping spawn points but then freaking out when someone lobs a grenade next to him.
Anyways, something from the Crysis series would probably get my vote.
Oh yeah... Good Point
My comment on FC2 was purely based on the Campaign mode, as that is the only thing I play. I also don't like MP so I won't comment on that.
Now that Good FPS games seem scarce, I guess I am going to start having to give those Zombie shooter a run for their money
Steer clear of Dead Island. Unless you want to kill the same 5 zombies over and over again. Don't get me wrong, the forst hour or so is great. . . but what you do in that first hour is the entire game. " Enter Area, Meet 5 or 6 people who think you're there to do every menial task they can think of (literally.. you hang posters up at one point), Smash shoot or stab zombies, move to a different area. Repeat."
Granted.. that didn't stop me from finishing the game. But I did that mostly because the sounds of zombie squishing grossed out my wife.
nobody mentions the half-life games?
i suppose you're all too young to remember them...
Ahhhhhh, things we endure and do just to to let our wives know how much we love them...
I loved those games, I did and I hate playing games that scare me or using over the top scifi weapons (one of the main reasons I have never played HALO). I thought I read somewhere that a newer installment was in the works?
I also played FEAR, yep, it scared the crap out of me but I managed to finish it and played it a few more times. Well, except FEAR 3, I only did one pass on this one, it gets to a point when "Rinse and Repeat" just gets old.
I was so looking to Duke Nukem and I had to stop immediately after killing the first boss and killing the few aliens in the reactor?
Max Payne 3 is almost here... I hope it doesn't receive the same fate as the Bubble Gum Man
