Dirt vs Grid on Win 7

I had the same problem. Finally got it to work - it's playable but I'm still not happy with it. For what it's worth here's what I did:
From game folder, R click on Dirt.exe and use the compatibility wizard which on my m/c suggests run as XP SP2. (Or just enter the details manually). Stay on the compatibility page and disable all the fancy stuff (scaling, windows themes, etc) and set it to run as administrator and with 'higher' priority. If possible run game at your monitor's preferred resolution or a lower one that you know displays clearly.
If it still doesnt work, don't panic, start it in safe mode (should be avail. in programs menu). Be prepared to wait more than a minute for the Codemasters logo to appear. Once it runs OK, slowly increase the graphic capabilities as far as they will go without it becoming unplayable.

I also have Grid which uses the same engine and gave me no problems at all - weird.

    Thx.

I get this error: When the race is going to start, the screen stays in white and nothing happens.
