I need help with a game installation

Hello fellow Windows 7 users, i need major help with something!

I have Sims 3 and the game will not install, it keeps saying this:

"There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details".

I do not know what the Log is, and I do not know why it keeps coming up with the error... PLEASE HELP!!!

Edit: OK, i did work for Sims 3, but i just installed World Adventures expansion and it's at it again, i did what it said on the post you put in Mr. Squid and it will not work still.

What type of error are you getting? Also, please fill in your system specs.

I have both of these and they work just fine. Have you installed all available Windows updates? I have Service Pack 1, so if you haven't already, install that.

Yes, i have installed all the latest content, but it still comes up with the same error each and every time. It keeps on saying "There is an error during installation. Please see the Log for more details." Even when I installed both the games, it keeps coming up with it.

OK, i found out what the problem is. It seems that Sims 3 was not installed correctly, so I will uninstall it and install it again. After that, if it keeps coming up with the error, i'll edit this post and tell you.

Seems that it keeps happening, i just finished patching the main Sims game to the latest (1.33), and it just keeps coming up with "There was an error during the startup. Please see the Log for more details".
