    Win Gaming Config

Okay here my idea of it, i wan t to install a second OS (windows 7 x32) to a another partition just for gaming. It means:

    - No internet connection
    - No themes
    - Just a clean Win with 10 - 15 games installed.

    Here s the pc
    -i3 530
    -4gb ddr
    -150 GB (partition for windows)
    -XFX HD 4870

So my questions re what do optimize? What services can i stop? What do the with the Page/swapfile?

Please make some suggestions, also recommend 3th party software if it s helpful.

    Opinions?

Most, if not all, of my games require an internet connection to register the game before starting.

I would leave everything else alone because Win 7 does a pretty good job of maintaining itself. You could wind up with problems by fiddling

Sounds interesting, but like beauparc said, some games wont work. You can pretty much forget about any EA games, since they all require online activation to play. Also, any games that have multiplayer have that feature rendered useless (though that wouldn't really bother me). The only other issue I see is that if there are any patch releases (game AND video card), you cant get them without using a jump drive from one comp to the other.
I would say keep and interent connection... or at least a ethernet cable ready for patches, video card updates, and game activation. Otherwise, its really not a bad idea.
