    1) Update video card drivers. The newest driver always have fixes to certain games with certain configurations. Make sure to always keep the drivers up-to-date.
    2) Uninstall then reinstall the game. Chances are if the gameis failing to load half the time, a few of the files were corrupted during the install.

As far as the mutiplayer issue, I'm not sure. If it is saying to are banned, contact the support desk. Your serial for the game may have been stolen... assuming this is a legit copy that you got.

Try restarting your router so it assigns you a new router number to see if it unbugs and reinstall your video drivers to see it fixes the black screen problem.

    Punkbuster

    For your multiplayer issue:

The "you are banned" or "you have been kicked" can result from a corrupt install of the Punkbuster software, which is installed by default. Also, as Onyxaj said, contact support and make sure you are not on the global hardware ban list.

You also may have too high of a ping to join specific games on the server.

    Best of luck.

Single Player issue, have you tried "Run as Administrator"? I recall this being an issue, way back when...
