Error message - "You need to update flash" - toddler games online

    Hi!
What am I to do when I see that error message when trying to let my grandchildren to use online toddler games? I've clicked to download the flash player download they suggested, but it does nothing. And I already have Adobe Flash Player 10 installed, anyhow. So why do they ask that? My laptop computer has Windows 7 system. And as to it's complaint that I need to turn off my firewall, I didn't think I had one. I have Avast, Superantispyware and Malawarebytes - all free versions. Please give me suggestions on how I might fix the problem and to enable the games to play for them.. Thanks! PS. I get online with Google chrome.

Do you have Avast, Superantispyware and Malwarebytes all running at the same time? If so, that's a no, no. They will work against each other.

Also, Flash is going away sometime in 2020 I believe so those games should be updated to HTML5 which doesn't require a plug-in.

Often this is a scam and you download the flash player from the site + malware only update directley from Adobe

    Thanks!

Hi, and thanks to both of you who responded to my question!

No - I don't run all my anti-spyware programs at the same time. Thanks for the advice about how I might fix settings to better avoid the problem.

And thanks so much for telling me that if they ask me to download flash - then it's spyware! So I won't obey them when they say that! I suppose they won't obey me either, as to allowing our grandchildren to play the games, in that case. But dealing with spyware is a waste of time and not worth the bother.
