No I would say your grasp of this thread is uniquely accurate.

I play mainly FPS games like Counter Strike, Battlefield, COD, Crysis, Far Cry, Syndicate, Unreal Tournament, etc....
I've been using wireless mice since the MX1000 came out and will not game with a wired mouse.

I currently use a G700 mouse that I have wired when doing general PC stuff but I unplug it when I play games.
I also use a G13 Keypad when I play. A regular keyboard feels really awkward to me and the mouse ends up so far to the right of me that it is uncomfortable.

Here is an older pic when I had the Performance MX mouse.

Thanks!

PS: I think it stinks that there aren't more left-handed mice available. Nearly everything else in the world has a workaround or a substitute for our left-handed brethren. Ergonomics are the main thing I look for in a mouse (which is why I like the R.A.T. 9, by the way), and you can't fix that with a button-reversal in the software...

Why is it when you disagree with people they tend to assume it's because you never tried it.
Here is a actual picture of my desk when I myself had a mx1000 (those are brand new 7800's in there)
For time frame that treo was about the best thing you could get in a phone.

I actually still have the case, with the motherboard and fx-60 processor still in it.
Needs a graphics card and psu to work again though.
The monitor met it's end violently...

Though speaking of the monitor note what is charging right under it.
Of course that was before I grew out of my fancy keyboard stage.
