If you can still find a copy: Icewind Dale, Planescape:Torment and Baldurs Gate are all excellent oldschool RPGS. These are all fantasy RPGS and may not be her cup of tea. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Rig OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i7-2600k OC'd @ 5.0Ghz Motherboard ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z Memory 16 GB Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800 (4x4GB) Graphics Card XFX 695X DD (x2) in Crossfire Sound Card Realtek ALC889 (Integrated) Monitor(s) Displays XFX Triple Monitor Display w/ 3 ASUS 23.6" LCD Screen Resolution 5760x1080 (AMD Eyefinity) Keyboard Razer Lycosa Mouse Razer Naga & Razer Nostromo PSU XFX ProSeries Black Edition 1000w 80+ Platinum Certified Case Cooler Master HAF X Blue Edition Cooling Corsair H100 w/ Noctua NF-S12B FLX (x4) Push/Pull Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 3 SATA III (120GB)

It is truly a shame that they are mostly out of production. I spent many a weekend enthralled in Torment. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Rig OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i7-2600k OC'd @ 5.0Ghz Motherboard ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z Memory 16 GB Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800 (4x4GB) Graphics Card XFX 695X DD (x2) in Crossfire Sound Card Realtek ALC889 (Integrated) Monitor(s) Displays XFX Triple Monitor Display w/ 3 ASUS 23.6" LCD Screen Resolution 5760x1080 (AMD Eyefinity) Keyboard Razer Lycosa Mouse Razer Naga & Razer Nostromo PSU XFX ProSeries Black Edition 1000w 80+ Platinum Certified Case Cooler Master HAF X Blue Edition Cooling Corsair H100 w/ Noctua NF-S12B FLX (x4) Push/Pull Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 3 SATA III (120GB)

I truly wish that game companies would not stop the production of older games. People are still interested in them, even if that number isn't as high as it used to be back then. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Vampire the Masquerade
Good RPG game, runs well on most any system.
Down side is you'll need to buy and you'll need to apply a unofficial patch. But its worth it. It makes the game run under modern systems and has a widescreen patch.
You can get it for $20 or less on Steam. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom (Self Build) OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 2700k Motherboard eVGA P67 SLI Memory 8GB Mushkin Redline Ridgebacks @1866 Graphics Card EVGA GTX570 SC Sound Card XiFi Titanium HD Monitor(s) Displays LG W2453V Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Saitek Cyborg PSU Seasonic x750 Case Corsair 600T SE White Cooling eVGA Superclocked CPU Cooler Hard Drives Intel 320 80GB -- Intel X25-V 40GB --WD Black 1TB x2 -- WD Blue 640GB Antivirus Kaspersky Browser IE Other Info LG BD/DVD |

Old classics are dirt cheap right here.... GOG.com
They remove all the old school copyright stuff and include soundtracks/wallpapers and all kinds of other stuff with the games.
If its an RPG classic (plus tons of other oldies), odds are you can get it there for almost nothing. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Edit: The only downside to DS1 is that the game is longer in production (CD wise). So finding it is kinda hard. Ebay more than likely has it there. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
