I have severely mixed feelings about all of this. First, if I owned a company that produced something where a great deal of creativity goes into making said product, nobody is going to tell me what "needs" to be done to said product to make it acceptable. I do not agree with the term "P.C." It just breeds a society of thin skinned, weak, ignorant people, who can't think or stand up for themselves or their own beliefs. The single largest problem with society today is that people always look to someone else to make decisions. It's so much easier to pass the buck than to actually fail at something.

Then theres this. What should a consumer do when a company or companies regularly sell products that are, for all intents and purposes, defective? I don't think that government regulation is the answer. The more the government controls our lives, the more subject to their agenda we become. A consumer has to take responsibility for their actions. I bought a crappy product, knowing full well the companie's history of releasing crap. That's my fault and their gain.

I completely agree with you magus, we do need to make LARGE efforts to move back to the govt our constitution outlines and our founding fathers intended.

Well in all honesty there are companies that do far worse than just ignore their customers.
I know of one and I am not going to name any names but it rhymes with Ubisoft!

Shady and unfinish games are launched, huge patch that ruins more than it fixes on the same day, 3 months later... nobody wants to talk about the game anymore because we have to hype the following polished turd. R6 Vegas anyone?

Now, they are coming up with Shooters where you can miraculously see through walls and tag the enemy at will. But Wait, there is more, to make it even faster and easier for you to win, we will give you a Camo where nobody will be able to see you. Oh and don't forget kids, the more intel and diamonds you find, we will rank you up so fast you will be UBER General in no time!

Don't forget Origin. This thing really really pissed me off...
And those huge patches with no resume support suck-up all the damn bandwidth and you never know when that s**t origin will malfunction forcing you to redownload the whole thing again...

Pretty much. EA bought Bioware quite a while ago. At least 3 or so years ago at the most. After that, Bioware went straight into the much used toilet that hasn't been flushed and has turds floating around in it from not being flushed for 6 years, and the bowl of the toilet (with the dirty, disgusting water) is EA.

Bioware has basically been added to the dirty toilet bowl, along with Sierra, and a bunch of other companies. And now the toilet bowl is pretty much filled to the top with dirty water, and floatin' disgusting arsehole turds. That's how bad EA games is. Which is why I completely refuse to buy anymore of their stupid games.

No, it's not ridiculous. EA is a piece of shit company filled with dumbass assholes who just care about getting their profits from teens, and their stupid anti-piracy faggotry bullshit that doesn't work.
I put the article link at a place called DLP.net, and we've been talking about it over there, as well. Above my post is what sums up what I think about EA. EA has pretty much gone to total crap around 2006, and started caring more about money and anti-piracy than anything else.

(Apologizing to anyone who's offended by cuss words, they're pretty loose in terms of cussing over there).

The real problem is outside of simcity and the sims.
EA doesn't actually produce anything at all.
EVERYTHING else is by outside studios that get one hit then EA comes in, buys them out and forces them to start kicking out ever suckier sequels on a ever reducing timeline.
Some of the names people recognize
    like bioware and dice.
Other studios are consumed before they even really become known.

They are the gaming version of the mpaa and the riaa.
They don't actually produce anything, they take ownership of other people's work using laws that honestly make absolutely no sense to me. In fact I have a really hard time understanding, what... if anything at all they actually do other than lobby for ever more draconian copyright laws.

lol Oh, I know EA doesn't make the games. That's what Bioware, Dice, etc do for them. EA is just a management company that tells the game creators what to do. And EA has HORRIBLE management. They don't listen to their customers, etc. They also make them rush their games to the point that they're not very playable sometimes (the creators of Skyrim actually didn't acknowledge that Skyrim had bugs when it first came out, and then they retracted that and said "bug fixes were coming"). So yeah...EA can gtfo please.

Activision is really not any better.
Fortunately they aren't very big in the pc market though, and I don't currently own a console.

You're right. I haven't really heard about any big games by them recently.

There's a couple German PC game companies that are somewhat similar to EA that don't listen to their customers either. A company called "SCS" that created the "18 Wheels of Steel" PC game series.

1C is the same way. They created a game called "Freight Tycoon", and they never even touched the bugs to the game other than putting out a loading issue with Vista and 7. Really fricken annoying. I stopped buying their games, too.

But I still say EA is the worst out of all of them.
