    The end of BF3???

With all of the problems that EA/Dice have had in getting this game right, there is a much bigger, problem, looming. As a server Admin, I constantly look people up and have to be vigilant in protecting our servers. Hackers are out there. Problem is, now they have become completely undetectable. I am having a very hard time wanting to continue with this game, especially after reading this.

Shocking really, as a lover of BF3, and other online first person shooters, hackers frustrate the hell out of me. Its a shame that there is no real way to stop them. Anti Cheat mechanisms like PB, and VAC etc are only effective to a minority of cheats.

Hackers will be the death of games for PCs. Its already an area where PC games are being ported from consoles more often than not.

    Shame

I was considering buying this but seems to be the same problem as in cod the same lame hacks. Will proably get it once the loser move on to the next big shooter so there will be less of them and it will be cheaper so i'm good with bfbc2 atm which I haven't seen hacks yet on.

It's bad the cheating pisses me off I don't know why PB can't be altered to see the change in code coming from the users machine ?

this is a video showing the hack in use during a legitimate game (play in 1080p for clarity)
and you can see the comments that other players are making, as they begin to realize
    that something isn't quite right..

    - the video was linked in a follow-up post on that same site

I must admit, I have had my suspicions..

Good thing I lost all interest in it about a month after release. Only sad part is the $60 spent on it as it really wasn't worth it, and even the Karkand expansion couldn't save it as far as I'm concerned. The only thing that made it a successor to BF2 is the name. BFBC2 was a better game than BF3.

And herein lies the problem with competitive games, where you have levels, power ups, earn weapons, unlock classes, etc and publish stats for the world to see. People are going to take advantage of it and cheat.

Although, I'm unsure where the fun is in cheating. It must be more about making the others mad than the actual gameplay.

There are so many online games where hackers are prevalent. To me, people hack because they are not good enough to get good scores on their own. It's sad really.
BF3 will go on and I will keep playing and keep on being bad at the game. But I still enjoy playing especially when I have friends to play with who remind me just how bad I am .

It's funny that EA and dice have rolled out this battlelog console rubbish instead of installing the game fully on some ones drive yet it's still not done a thing to address the cheating.

Almost seems a wasted effort given if battlelog us down the game is not playable off line.

How are you supposed to have a LAN game ?

    +1, THIS.

    "Online" gaming is getting stupider.
