Yes I was running the lat check while playing and just alt + tab'ing back to desktop.
I think I found the issue. Seems to have been an outdated realtek sound driver
. Funny thing about that is... I downloaded the most recent driver that Acer has on the product support page. It's from 01/2011. Acer sucks.
Only tested this in WCIII so far and no issues yet. Going to test in Killing Floor and others and see what happens.
