COD 4 problem

Hi

I have an interesting problem that I have encountered with COD 4. I am not entirely sure what build of 7 I am running and I don't know how to check
My System tab says windows 7 ultimate but I don't think that means anything..

Anyway, what happens is when I try to connect to a server my friend has made that I can't. I just time out entirely (even thought he is just down the street) on the times I can see his server in server list, and 90% of the time his server does not even show up. The one time I was able to connect, i was disconnected after ten minutes cause of desynchronization.

I can connect to every other server just fine, no errors. He is running XP SP3 I think. His problem or mine? My other friends with vista and XP can connect fine as well.

I don't do Multiplayer but it sure sounds like a problem with Punkbuster (like thefabe states) or your internet connection. If you do other game in MP and you can login fine there, start checking your router, ports, etc, etc.
