FreeCell Problem

I have been playing FreeCell for over a year now, since getting my Windows 7 Home Premium PC. I upgraded a few months ago to Ultimate (this is a 64 bit machine), and have recently noticed that my FreeCell games are no longer saving when they are closed, even though I have checked "always save game on exit" and "always continue saved game". I have no clue why this is happening, and could use some guidance.

I believe that it was already part of Windows when I started using the OS. I see that it is a feature that can be turned on or off, so I am going to try turning it off, then turning it on, and see if that makes a difference.
