thanks for the info.
let's see if this revitalises my interest in this once great game!
Thanks for the info, I hope they fixed some of the issues I have seen in the game, and i know Im dreaming but the need for the dang cd to need to be in the drive when you start the game that always makes me mad due to having a laptop and traveling.
the most recent version works fine.
Been using a mini-image mounted in Alcohol for at least 3 years and never been kicked by PB (in fact use mini-images for any game that requires the CD).
Anyway you won't need the CD or a mini-image once you install the 1.5 patch as that is one of the things they removed, the CD check.
Also for anyone that doesn't have the game installed ATM and is thinking about installing because of the new patch, you will also need the 1.41 patch. The proper install order for a clean install is,
BF2
SF (if you have it)
1.41
1.5
AF and EF owners can now skip the BF2-SF-1.41-AF/EF-1.41, and just install as above. Not sure about what version the "Complete Collection" is, but if it is already at 1.41, then you just need 1.5.
Thanks for the heads up! Can't believe its nearly 2gb though! Better do some good!

i'm liking this patch, now that i've got used to the slightly altered gameplay.
and no more having to have the disc in the drive or daemon tools!
i did have one issue however, alt-tabbing in and out of the game gave me a black screen.
it was easy enough to fix though. :)
note - this fix is not the 'disable anti-aliasing' work-around, but a proper 'fix', and works fine on my x64.
