Have you tried going to the main directory were metro is installed and launching from the metro2033.exe instead of launching through steam to see if it will launch like this or not?

Really there's no need Googling for a patch. If Steam is asking to be reinstalled, let it. To me it sounds like something happened to Steam to cause it to need to be reinstalled.

Also, there's no need looking for a game patch because Steam installs all game related patches itself with regards to Steam based games - in short, if the game is on Steam, the patch will have to come through Steam - meaning you can't install a non-steam patch to a steam game.

Bottom line, just let Steam reinstall itself.

    Good luck.

Hey Sygnus21 I got the Metro2033 Benchmark/Game working. I used Phyxion Driver Sweeper has recommended by a Fellow Member of the Seven Forums, and while uninstalling the 296 driver and restarting i got a BSOD i believe because of the driver, i re-installed the 301.42 driver and ram Memtest86+ just to make sure ram was fine, and furmark, OCCT and everything came back fine on the Hardware side of things, so my next question, can a driver cause BSOD?

Yes, a driver can cause a BSOD. As for other suggestions, have a look at my guide, it gives a few things to look at.
