Why label AC3 bad? The game's not even out yet! And the switch in the storyline may just be what the franchise needs, especially since the last (at least) two games sucked, like you said. It's exactly why we should have high hopes for AC3.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about Darksiders 2

I totally agree with you about AC. When I first played the original, I was completely blown away. Loved the whole concept. AC2 was a big disappointment for me as it did not live up to my expectations. I still gave Brotherhood a shot, but I lost all interest in the series. Needless to say, I did not even touch Revelations.

So.. AC3? From what I've seen, the game gives me that old AC1 feeling! Let's not get our hopes up, because this might be another let down. But I'll play!

Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six were one of my favorite games... if they would just upgrade the quality of the video I would gladly buy them again.

Being said that, I am with you on never buying a UBI game again. What kills me even more is the fact that kids believe that UBI's GRAW was a good TACTICAL game . It makes me want to go postal when I hear that Third Person View is the best for shooter games because it deters from Run and Gun since First Person shooters usually don't have a good cover system... erm, WHAT????

UBI was able to bamboozle the majority of the people with their latest Scam... Gunsmith

I remember watching one of my kids playing Need for Speed and wasting hours and hours customizing his car, and by customizing I mean changing colors and type of wheels instead of going out racing. Gunsmith is pretty much going to do this, make you waste hours and hours customizing your weapon, for what? So it shoots and sounds the same as it did 3 hours ago when you entered Gunsmith?

The difference is that now they can say that the Campaign is about 25 hours long instead of just 3 if you don't bother with Gunsmith... marketing sure is a powerful tool.

    +1 on Kickstarter

Actually, aside from the concept, I found the first AS game even worse than all the others combined. I just totally hated it and was completely and utterly frustrated by it. AS2, however, is the best game in the franchise for me.
