Do you trust game reviews / worst game installed but got good review Do you listen and trust game reviews or judge them for your self. Would you still buy a game if it only got fair review but the price was cheap enough.
What game did you install and was deeply disappointed even when the game got a good review | My System Specs |

I have come to learn NOT to trust any Magazine or Online Reviews, no matter how good or bad they seem to be, bias or un-bias... they all are looking to make money from ads.
So, being said that, I usually read reviews by fellow members here and other forums I frequent and read what they have to say, take some reviews with a grain of salt if the member says "The game sucks, trust me" as this only tells me it is a very uninformed opinion of the game.
Opinions are like butts, we all have one but for the most part, since I always buy a game from the bargain bin, I don't feel that bad when the game sucked and I had high hopes for it... more so now being that most of them are console ports (and some really bad ports) I don't touch the retail prices. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) CPU Intel Q9650 Motherboard EVGA 780i FTW Memory 8GBs Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Graphics Card Asus GTX660 (2GBs) + MSI 9600GT (PhysX) Sound Card Onboard Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU PC Cooling 750w Silencer Case Thermaltake Spedo Advance Cooling CM 8V Hard Drives WD VelociRaptor 300GB

I lend far more wieght to fellow gamers. Especially those who like/dislike similar games as I do, as thier opinion will be closer to what I would think.
I agree. All "Pro" reviews are just in it for the Ad money for the most part. Bad review means the Ad may get pulled and they loose money. So its in thier best interest to give a good score.
The most recent for me was MAss Effect 3. Take a look at the disconnect there.
Many big sites such as IGN said 9.5/10 "Amazing" --- "Perfect Conclusion" etc with very high scores.
Fellow gamers review? A 2/10 or 4/10 and ... "WTF just happened here? What game did they play or did they even play it?"
And theres many others that come out quite similar. Meanwhile, some truly good games get bashed by critics, while gamers love them. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom (Self Build) OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 2700k Motherboard eVGA P67 SLI Memory 8GB Mushkin Redline Ridgebacks @1866 Graphics Card EVGA GTX570 SC Sound Card XiFi Titanium HD Monitor(s) Displays LG W2453V Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Saitek Cyborg PSU Seasonic x750 Case Corsair 600T SE White Cooling eVGA Superclocked CPU Cooler Hard Drives Intel 320 80GB -- Intel X25-V 40GB --WD Black 1TB x2 -- WD Blue 640GB Antivirus Kaspersky Browser IE Other Info LG BD/DVD |

I agree with Wishmaster I remember when Left4dead then Left4dead 2 came out it was being bashed here and there but gamers really love it
Also it is one of valves biggest tittles now and some games are trying to patern the style that the game started meaning it wasnt that bad at all but the reviews didn't make it seem worth getting
Most of the time i would do what you think is best I have gotten many games with crap reviews that were actually a good play so ,Ask people you know instead of trusting a world wide review cause most likly they just did a demo and 5 mins of play time | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Built by me FX - Series Scorpious OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit sp1 CPU Vishera FX 8350 Oc' 4.812Ghz 1.488 V-core full load 50c Motherboard Asus Sabertooth 990fx rev 2.0 Memory 16gb Corsair Vengeance ram 1600mhz Oc'ed to 1750mhz Graphics Card VisionTek HD7970 Ghz.ed Bios Crossfire 1150/1560 power 10% Sound Card AC97 Monitor(s) Displays 27" ViewSonic 1920/1080dp hdmi 37in vizio hdmi dual monitors Screen Resolution 1920x1080 27"- 1920x1080 37" Keyboard Logitech wireless keyboard Mouse Logitech wireless mouse PSU HX1050w Corsair Silver 80plus certified crosfire/sli Case Thermaltake Element V Cooling Antec 620 Water cooling system and 4 120 mm LED fans Hard Drives Ocz Agility 120Gb SSD Seagate baracuda 500 Gb WD Mybook 500Gb Internet Speed Cable 25+ mb Antivirus WebRoot Spysweeper with Antivirus Browser IE-9, Chrome, Opera Other Info I have 2 systems FX AM3+ 8350-K15 Oc'ed 4.812Ghz AM2+ 965 BE Stock 3.4 Ghz Both stable Both Gaming Rigs Also Hp Notebook 1.65 ghz Dual core amd E-450 8gb Patriot Ram DDR3 Discrete Gpu Hd6320 dedicated ram 1973 mb 15.5 screen |

What game did you install and was deeply disappointed even when the game got a good review For the most part, I haven't really had any review sites (like Gamespot.com) let me down all that much. I mostly only use gamespot for reviews. The only game that I can think of at the moment that had positive reviews, but the game was pretty lame ass was Doom 3. I even wrote my own very negative review for Doom 3 (also very condescending, too). I was the only person to give the game a lower score than a C. I normally don't really write reviews for games, but Doom 3 was such a P.O.S game that I just had to write a review for it.
So far, in my opinion, gamespot has given some pretty accurate reviews so far from what I've seen. Usually if I decide I want to buy a game, I always go check out the reviews at gamespot.com.
Edit: There have been some games with low scores there that looked/sounded like they deserved them. If a game gets a low score, I usually just skip that game.

The people at a website I frequently visit (half of them anyway) said they liked it, and the other half didn't like it. So if you don't like it, I think you could return it to the company instead of the store (though I'm unsure about that part). I just know I won't be buying it. ME2 was fun for me, but it wasn't really worth playing through it a second time. It just got boring because those pissants didn't let you mod it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Personally, I don't take that much notice of reviews. They are just the opinion of the individual reviewer of a product at the time they reviewed it. As such, they are subjective. Of course, you might agree with their views, but there will be times where your own opinion is the complete opposite of the reviewer. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dwarf Dwf/11/2012 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core-i5-3570K 4-core @ 3.4GHz (Ivy Bridge) (OC 4.2GHz) Motherboard ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M Memory 4 x 4GB DDR3-1600 Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B (16GB) Graphics Card 2 x AMD Radeon HD7770 1GB CrossFired (OC 1100MHz/1250MHz) Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 898) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 3000 (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 for Business (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Gigabyte IF233 Cooling 1 x 120mm Front Inlet 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Agility 3 SSD 120GB SATA III x2 (RAID 0)
