Heads Up on a good Gaming Mouse

For those considering a new gaming mouse, consider the Thermaltake Theron

Personally I'm picky when it comes to mice. I'm predominantly a claw/fingertip style gamer, yet for desktop usage a bit of a palm gripper.

There are some reviews below, so I'll only cover a few personal angles.

Surfaces: It works well on dedicated pads like the The Razer Goliath, Roccat Alumic/speed/smooth, and cloth mats like the Razer Goliathus. It'll work well on non-gaming pads too.

I have two Razer Imperators which I've found to be the most comfortable mouse for me. They are good mice. My Lachesis was a good mouse too, but it was always a little 'odd' in feel. The Tt Theron is like the best of both worlds.

    Personal noticed pros:

    Wired

    It's bloody comfortable.

    Does not feel 'cheap'.

Left side back/forward are in a good position.

Has a easy to reach programmable front right button.

    Easy DPI switching.

    Selectable 125/500/1000 polling RATE.

    Up to 5700 DPI

    Easy under side profile switching.

    Variable weights

    Software is pretty straightforward.

Has multiple user selected colour schemes. 7 of them which can be mixed and matched. Basically, it looks awesome no matter your preference.

Overall, it feels solid, not cheap, performs well and looks pretty damn good. It works just as well as a 'a desktop' mouse and and a gaming mouse.

It's well worth a look by many gamers who currently use Logitech, Roccat, Razer etc ansd are inthe market for a replacement.

    Some reviews.

I have a G9 and after 2 or 3 years, I still find it ergonomically incorrect I want to change or get a new one but it does its job and I don't use the computer at home like I used to nor I have the itch to build me a new rig because none of the newer game merits a new build.

Now, being said that, it looks good on pictures but it does look similar to the G9 and that scares me a bit... I am going to go Best Buy in hopes they have it there and see how I like it.

I have a 2009 Razer Diamondback (Red), and it's still giving me comfort and accuracy. Best mouse I've ever had. I may get a nicer wireless Razer since I'm so satisfied with this product.

To conclude, I think you should keep looking into Razer's products.

I'm to cheap I use a hp mouse with 1000 dpi that cost me $20usd lol.I might get a gaming mouse later on in the future after I upgrade my ram to 8gb to max my ram usage on my mobo and get another storage drive possibly. My mouse does the job though and feels great.

On the Razer front, I've got a Lachesis (great mouse but it is awkward), The Imperator (which is a very comfortable mouse) and I had a DeathAdder v2 which was also a comfortable mouse.

I find the Imperator and Theron to be very similar in feel/comfort.

Since everyone has different sized hands, grip styles etc there really isn't a 'one size fits all' mouse. I've never used the G9 so I can't really comment on how it compares.

But luckily there are plenty of good mice to choose from and personally, I've found the Imperator to be the most comfortable for me. The Theron is now a close second. It all boils down to personal preference.

If you get the chance, try as many as you can :)

I have a G9 corsair m60 and a rat 9. The g9 works best but may hand is to big for it. The m60 feels the best. The rat works good and feels good but has to many parts and at times it feels like it well fallapart on me, but thats just me. I find myself using the m60 the most it just feels good in my hand

Most of these mouses have to be ordered online correct? If so, no-can-do for me. Shipping costs to Alaska is outrageous!

If a local retailer doesn't stock them, I'm afraid so.
