Xbox controller doesnt work

    Xbox controller doesnt work


    I'm using windows 7 rtm 64 bit, usually when i plug it in vista it would come up that ive plugged somehting in and automatically install but windows didnt seem to recognise anything is in ive unplugged a few times and it wont come up, i installed the microsoft xbox accessories thing but that didnt seem to help.

    i had problems with my wireless one
    open device manager locate it, then uninstall first let windows try to reinstall (reboot after uninstall) if it fails try uninstalling again from device manager then reinstall using the disk what you was give with it ...if that fails i havent got a clue

    Cheers mate but i cant see it device manager because it wont come up in windows to install

    not to sure the exact place in device manager wired 360 pad would be deleting the human interface devices
    heres what it looks like

    No, just realised my controller is broke must have randomly went because it was working yesterday. Sorry for the wasted time :)

    sorry to hear that. i have one (friggin love this thing), but in the device manager, mine shows up on the bottom of the list, and its called "XBOX 360 Peripherals". sorry it wont be of hellp though...
