TDU 2 performance is below par So as the days go by Crossfire is beginning to annoy me more and more; I have the latest CAP Profiles installed and with 2 instances of GPU-Z open, the second card isn't be loaded much if at all. I'm seeing frames in the 40's and it's not making any sense to me at all. I should make mention that the frames will jump up into the 70's momentarily before going right back down to the 40's range.
Like I said, annoying. Anyone have any idea what's going on? | My System Specs |

Heya Terronium 12
I've the game myself on my lower end laptop with an AMD GPU.... and yes.. the game runs notoriously bad on AMD hardware compared to NVIDIA's GPUs... even more so with CFX....
It's just bad optimization for AMD GPUs all around with poor utilization.. (try running the game in windowed mode with GPUz in the background to check for GPU utilization and you'll see what i mean).. The game doesn't even max out the GPUs... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL SXPS 1640 OS Windows 7 x64 Professional SP1 CPU Intel C2D T9550 2.66 GHz @ 2.793 GHz (Thanks ThrottleStop!!) Like I said, annoying. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Iirc, TDU2 was another non CF friendly game where the 'fix' was to disable to the 2nd card.
The fact that GPU-Z is reporting virtually zero usage suggests that the 'disable fix' is still in effect.
Tbh, you're going to find quite a few games where CF makes flap all difference.
(Personally, years of CF and CAT drivers are what sent me back to single GPU and nvidia for a year. I actually took a year off from multiple GPU's because 'the quirks' shit me so much.
So far my SLI 670's aren't as problematic, but that single year with one GPU was the least frustrating year of gameplay I've ever had ) | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number SmartEyeball Inc OS 8 Pro x64 CPU i7 3770K 4.6GHz Motherboard ASUS P8Z77 WS Memory 16GB G.Skill Trident X 2400mhz Graphics Card 3x Gigabyte GTX 670 OC WindForce *TRI SLI* Sound Card ALC898 / 5.1 receiver/ ATH-AD900 Headphones Monitor(s) Displays x3 Dell U2410 / 58" Samsung / "40 Sony Screen Resolution 5760*1200/ 1920*1200 / 1920*1080 Keyboard Topre Realforce // Ducky Shine MX Black // Filco Ninja TKL Mouse Razer Imperator + Thermaltake Theron PSU Corsair AX1200W Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives 2x Intel 520 240GB (RAID 0) * 2x WD Caviar Blacks 2TB (RAID 0) * 2TB WD Caviar Black Antivirus MSE Browser IE, FF Other Info GT Extreme V2 Sim Racing Cockpit + 40" LCD and K/B Mouse stand ▼

That's really annoying, you know? Starting to make me wish I hadn't spent that $200 and put it toward a 670 or 680. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Nebula OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Core i5-3570K - 4.5GHz Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth Z77 [B. 1803] Memory G.Skill Sniper 12GB DDR3-1600 Graphics Card HD6950 CrossfireX Sound Card Asus Xonar DX [Unified drivers] Monitor(s) Displays Gateway FHD2402 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Gigabyte Osmium, Noppoo Choc Mid 87, Ducky Shine II (soon!) Oh yeah, I know it's annoying
You'll appreciate it on games that it works though.
(and if you end up selling both and going to nvidia - forget the 680. The 670 is a much better prospect. This is coming from someone who normally buys the top tier cards ) | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number SmartEyeball Inc OS 8 Pro x64 CPU i7 3770K 4.6GHz Motherboard ASUS P8Z77 WS Memory 16GB G.Skill Trident X 2400mhz Graphics Card 3x Gigabyte GTX 670 OC WindForce *TRI SLI* Sound Card ALC898 / 5.1 receiver/ ATH-AD900 Headphones Monitor(s) Displays x3 Dell U2410 / 58" Samsung / "40 Sony Screen Resolution 5760*1200/ 1920*1200 / 1920*1080 Keyboard Topre Realforce // Ducky Shine MX Black // Filco Ninja TKL Mouse Razer Imperator + Thermaltake Theron PSU Corsair AX1200W Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives 2x Intel 520 240GB (RAID 0) * 2x WD Caviar Blacks 2TB (RAID 0) * 2TB WD Caviar Black Antivirus MSE Browser IE, FF Other Info GT Extreme V2 Sim Racing Cockpit + 40" LCD and K/B Mouse stand ▼

I do and that's probably what makes it that much worse. It has it's benefits in more games that I have than it doesn't, but I'd like it across all of 'em.
Blur benefits from it quite well although I'm not entirely sure if it's DX10 or 11, but the frames are in the mid to high 80's. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Nebula OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Core i5-3570K - 4.5GHz Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth Z77 [B. 1803] Memory G.Skill Sniper 12GB DDR3-1600 Graphics Card HD6950 CrossfireX Sound Card Asus Xonar DX [Unified drivers] Monitor(s) Displays Gateway FHD2402 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Gigabyte Osmium, Noppoo Choc Mid 87, Ducky Shine II (soon!)
