Here ya go. Might need to change the region though.
PlayStation 3 RPGs - GameSpot
PS3 may be technically better, but the major of of titles are 640P vs the 360 being 720P. Overall, the xbox 'looks' a bit better.
Cross platform titles generally perform and look better on the 360 too.
It really depends on which exclusive titles you want. But since you've now got the PS3, I wouldn't bother with a 360 unless there is a 'must have' 360 only title.
lol true. Whenever I use my 360 I just want to adjust settings, lol. At least gimme some AF options
Yea. When you are used to a game being rendered at 1080p, Max settings with AA and AF, and running at a steady 60FPS ....
720p, little AA and no AF, and 30FPS hurts a bit.
The console is by no means going to replace my PC gaming. Its only for those titles I really want to play that are PC only. Thats why I returned Dark Souls, since its coming to PC next month. Look much better on PC as well.
It looks like a pretty decent RPG, though a bit difficult. Looking forward to it.
If you care about social integration with gaming, the Xbox is better IMHO. In the end, if you play on a console, it's not just about the games, but how much fun you can have with other people as well.
Put a gun to my head and tell me I have to get a console, I'd rather take the bullet; if it so happens that I'm sober enough, I'll choose Xbox.
On a more serious note, though, I stated this many times before: a console is only worth for its exclusive titles. All other fancy features are crap if you got yourself a PC and not just a Mac. So if still in doubt, just put it all on paper and see which one "pays off" more in terms of platform exclusive games.
I do appreciate all the advice.
And TBH, the reasons I ended up choosing PS3 in the end were:
1) Some Exclusives. Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Folklore etc ...
2) Im not much of a FPS gamer, especially online. I typically play RPGs and solo (been with Steam forever and still dont have any friends LOL)
In fact, I think the only shooter I play online are the Left for Dead games, and thats rarely.
Other games I was looking into were cross platform. I seen most of those typically looked a bit better on the Xbox, as most are not optimised for the PS3 but that the difference wasnt that huge either.
Maybe I made a bad choice in the end, but so far im happy with it for what I wanted it for. Im still a PC gamer at heart :)
But being as I have a Xbox here, I tried some of those exclusives as well. Many of the Halo games mostly.
So far, and this is just my opinion, in regards to exculsives PS3s (gameplay aside) just seem to look far better to my eyes.
The cross-platform games tend to be slightly better looking on the Xbox. I can't directly compare on this part though, just going by what thiose who have compared say.
I asked this question for advice but also learned that this is a question that appears to have no right or wrong answer. From what Ive played on the Xbox and PS3 thus far, they both seem like good systems.
From all of this, I think if there are other gamers like me who dont really care about online play, its going to be a matter of Exclusive titles.
If you want the console to double as a DVD/BluRay player ... the PS3 is really the only choice in that case..
It is the need to ask that is appreciated much more. Even if you didn't care for PC gaming anymore at all, at least you had enough intelligence to ask for advice and carefully weigh the differences between systems and what you want.
It doesn't matter which one you chose, but you actually chose it, not just bought it
So happy gaming, Heavy Rain is a must have, it is the only game I would buy a PS3 for lol
Nah, you made a choice and you're happy - that's all that counts :)
640P vs 720PThe cross-platform games tend to be slightly better looking on the Xbox.
There isn't. As already mentioned, both have their own pros and cons. Just as console vs PC have their own Pros and Cons.I asked this question for advice but also learned that this is a question that appears to have no right or wrong answer. From what Ive played on the Xbox and PS3 thus far, they both seem like good systems.
Apart from a bit of the odd title here and there plus Halo and Red Dead Redemption - I almost exclusively use the 360 just for Forza 4 and my racing cockpit/wheel.
The whole PS3 vs XBOX vs PC fanboi stuff is pointless. Ultimately, we're playing games and that what really counts - who cares what it's been played on?
