Improved AMD gaming fps with Radeon Pro

I am so excited my games run super smooth on my laptop I wanted to share it with others in the hopes that your gaming thirst can finally be quenched. I'm using dv6- 6c35dx that has a 6620g discrete graphics. Basically not really meant for gaming. It is now in my point of view. Sacred 2 is at 35-45 fps vs 20s. Titan quest is at 45-55 vs 30s. So this a vast improvement for a not so hot laptop. If you've got better gear, well, I envy what you will be getting after this, lol.

This only works for amd/ati people. Basically its just forcing v sync and triple buffering so if you've done that you know all this. I thought i knew it cause I tried it with D3D Overrider. I didn't have any luck what so ever. Finally Sacred 2 runs oh so smooth. This is the way games were meant to be played, yayah :)

You will need to get a program call Radeon Pro from RadeonPro Downloads - Download Radeon Pro
Its free from what i can tell. It will have a setup guide probably worth doing. I cant untoggle some setting for global profile so I created one and added all my games to it instead. Ill give my settings for other people at http://sdrv.ms/LrSiWR Just download and import it into the app. Just remove my games from the triggers and put in yours.

Here are my settings in case you just want to create one and also give us a base reference point to compare things are

Visual Tab
I removed all Anti aliasing settings since im on a laptop
Checked anistropic filtering to 16
Checked Tessellation Control with slider far left (AMD opt)
Checked vertical sync control slider Always on far right
That bar for me is barely visible. I have to be in full screen.

Advanced Tab
Check top four boxes
Checked Texture filtering, Mipmap, flip control with sliders to far left (going for performance)

Tweaks Tab
I just checked triple buffering and force aggressive.

Triggers Tab
Put your game exe. I did the ones in programs folder and launched game from desktop and programs menu.


Probably didn't need to list all that but I'd like to see other setting people have. Especially from anyone who is a advanced use of this software. The counter worked in titan quest but not in Sacred 2. Also I never got any logos before games started to indicate the profile worked or what not. The wizard didn't really explain it to well and i have yet to research that part of it out. Despite these issues both games I saw a very noticeable improvement. The performance gain in both was astonishing.

So I hope if you've tried this program briefly before or D3D Overrider like did and gave up that you try again. It inst hard to set up.
