    Having Issues With LOTR Battle For Middle Earth 2

    I have a copy of LOTR BFME2 and installed it on my computer. After installing it, I tried to run it, but it just stopped responding. So i thought my computer might need a break, and i turned it off. About 2 hours later, I went back on and tried to run it again and it didn't work still. So I searched on Google why it wasn't working and ended up in this forum.... I followed the instructions, and in the middle of loading, it just says i have the wrong CD inserted although it is the correct one. Please help me!!!!

    This is a known problem for users with high resolutions.

    The game dislikes it apparently so you'll have to do some tweaking as follows:-

    1.) Add an Options.ini file in the C:\Users\[your login name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) Files folder

    (Right click in that folder, New, Text Document, save as..., Options.ini)

    2.) Put the following content in that newly created file:

    Code:
    AudioLOD = High
    HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
    IdealStaticGameLOD = High
    Resolution = 1024 768
    StaticGameLOD = High
    TimesInGame = 5
    Hope that helps!

    If you can't find the folder, you'll have to make it manually.

    Create a new folder called My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) Files at the
    C:\Users\[your login name]\AppData\Roaming\
    location.

    For example if your username is Tom, the path would be:-

    C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Roaming\

    and in that Roaming folder, create the folder called

    My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) Files

    Also make sure you have enabled the Show hidden files, folders and drives in the Folder Options box (start|Folder Options|enter|Change top tab to "View"):-

    Okay, so head into the Appdata folder, what do you see?

    You should have Local, LocalLow and Roaming folders on a normal Windows 7 installation with some programs in it.

    for future reference guys you can access the appdata folder even with hidden files on if you just go to the search box type '%appdata%' minus the marks obviously
    and hitting enter.
    It will automatically open up the location.
