Call of Duty 2 - Library not registered

    Hey,

first of all im sorry, but i didnt know where to put this thread. Anyways, when i try to instal Call of Duty 2 on my windows 7 i get an error that says Library not registered, and i have to go to Task manager to close it. CoD2 is original, no cracked **** and i downloaded the evaluation copy of win7 from microsoft, so I dont know where the problem is.

    Any help is appreciated.

One - Does the Properties page of "Computer" show the blue genuine software sticker?
Two - What other programs do you have installed?
Three - Did you install any updates?

This could be due to the enhanced security in Windows 7 and the game/installer not being set-up for it .

If you re-install the game by right clicking on the installer and selecting run as administrator this will hopefully clear this issue.

What I believe is happening is that, running as a standard user as is the norm in Windows 7, the installer, does not have the required permissions to register the DLL's, (Dynamic Link Libraries).

To register DLLs with the system you must have admin rights

hey, just found the solution, i right clicked and chose "open in a new window", and from there i went to setup.exe and so on; there was no run as administrator option. Now it's installing. Hopefully everything will be OK.

    Ty for help

    Ok guys.
I had this problem for bloody weeks.
The answer might be to re-install under admin rights...
It might be lots of things.
But befor you test all theese options i would highley reccomand plugging in your mic... Easyest fix...
I had this problem for so long.. I just plugged in my mic and it bloody worked.
I have no idea why this works.. But it does.
It took me like 2 weeks to find the solution, it was one guy just saying plug in your mic.
Three words to a 2 week problem.
So befor trying all this crap that takes forever.
Just plug in your mic and see if it works.
If the plug in mic trick doesent work, then installing under administrator rights will.
Thanx a lot! and i hope i helped all you people with this crap issue!

Ok mate i think i found the solution to fix it. First of all when you install drivers for your graphic card dont chose expert, chose custom. Why? Ok there it is. When you chose expert it will automaticaly instal you a Gaming Evolved. I found gaming evolved is the problem here coz there you can find library and launch game from there. Just remove Gaming Evolved and reinstall driver. I hope you will find this usefull coz i dont have any problems at the moment. Regards Ivan
