Windows 7: kotor 2 doens't start up

So i've been playing star wars kotor 2 for a few months now on my windows 7 laptop, it worked perfectly, but suddenly it won't start up anymore! when I start it up, the title screen appears, and when I click 'game', the title screen dissapears but the game doen't start up. I've already reinstalled it, and made sure I run it in xp compatibility and administrator, but what I try, it just wont start. Anyone has any tips?
