Windows 7: Problem installing ArmA2 on R7600 x64

Problem installing ArmA2 on R7600 x64

Having just bought an additional 4GB of RAM for my computer I had to upgrade to x64 to make use of it, however it broke my ArmA2 install (missing registry entries = no worky), necessitating me reinstalling the game. The problem is, both the autorun and setup executables pop up the "this version isn't compatible with 64-bit Windows" and I can't reinstall, and the registry workaround I used to get the game working again activated the copy protection which just hit me ten minutes ago after I finally got the game running smoothly.

I've not run into any other games in my library that drop this error, and it's a little frustrating because my google-fu has revealed other people using the Windows 7 7600 x64 haven't had any issues, and that the Bohemia Interactive forums haven't got a single mention of anyone else hitting this brick wall at the the very start of setup, and the contact page for their tech support basically paints itself as uselssly slow.
