Do you have a security program (ex: AV) installed that may be blocking the .exe file?

If so, double check it's quarantine or blocked setting to see if it may, and either unblock it, allow it, or remove it from the list only if you fully trust the .exe file.

Another item to check, is the game made for Windows 7? If not, then you may need to use compatibiliy mode with the Windows version it was made for.
I use Kaspersky, but it didn't block it.

The game came out two years ago, it should work. Vista and XP won't work either.

On a sidenote, it is 4:20 am here in Holland, so I give up for the night and go to bed.

Ok. If I find anything else to check, I'll post back for you to check when ready. :)

What's the name of the game, and where did you get your copy from? We can see if others are having the same issue.

I said I was going to bed, but I just can't sleep without solving the problem. I (legally) redownloaded the file and guess what. It worked. Don't know what happened, but I think the file got somehow corrupted. Thanks for helping anyway!

That's great news. I was starting to lean towards a bad copy. Now you can rest well. Good night. :)
