FPS Drop while record game

Hi, am new and my English isn't good either so bare with me please.

I recently bought a Intel SSD 112Gb drive and install my window 7 ult. OS on it. I also have a 500Gb HHD that i install most of my game on.

The program i use to record call "Fraps" i install it on the SSD drive, and the game on the HHD drive.

I try to record a game play while i play and my FPS went from 60fps to 20 or so, which make it kinda spike lag a bit. The video file i save on the HHD drive, but i notice when i save it to the SSD drive is recored smoothly. I only have 112Gb that not alot for recording, so is there a solution for this please help me out. Thank.

my pc spect are

Intel Core I7 920 @ 2.67Ghz
Ram 19GB
NVIDA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

i don't event know how to tell my full pc spect such a noobie.

That's the limiting factor for hard drives unfortunately, fraps records uncompressed video and hence the file size is massive, SSD is the best solution for fraps as its much quicker to write to, hence the smooth video, you could record directly to the SSD and then copy the uncompressed file back to the other hard drive if that frees up some space, or you could get a second SSD to write to, this should let you run things smoother

Fraps I believe by default also will lower your framerate in game as movies only run at about 24fps to begin with.

Fraps is also a bit wonky with win 7, always has been for me personally at least.

you could use an HDMi cable from your PC to DVR, then rip the created disc to your hard drive, that uses up 0 resources whatsoever but it's a pain in the backside compared to using Fraps.
