I Can't launch some games, always show "stopped working" message

Hi friends, im posting by first time because this annoying issue that i cant play some games on my computer. They simply don't start up!

Always show me message: "(gamename).exe has stopped working.." (im Sorry, the message is in spanish and dont know which is the exact message translation to english) but its the same for all, which tells me "--.exe" has stopped working. Then shows a log different log message different from game to game.

I've recently formatted my computer, before that there were no problems whit any game! I still can play Pes12 and CODMW3 but no luck whit any other (i used to play batman, dirt2/3, Grid and others).

Is there any fix instead of formatting again?

I've tried cleaning for spyware, reinstalling games and no luck! I hope you can help me before I decide to format again!

Have you tried installing the latest directx web installer here regardless of your directx version?

Download: DirectX End-User Runtime - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

After you follow what topazkitty said, try using windows update to update all your drivers to the current version.

Already tried reinstalling directx and update.. nothing changes. I think it was an update what brought the issue to my pc.

Any other suggestion?

If you feel like it was an update that did this, do a System Restore to a date before you updated.

I also tried running malwarebytes guessing it was a spyware, with no luck either...

It seems that i must format again?

You may have to reinstall windows again but if you go that route you may want to install updates one by one to figure out which one is causing it. Do you have the latest graphics drivers for your card? Please tell me what card you have so I can point you do the latest drivers.

What game are you are trying to run so I can see if there are any known bugs with it?
