Windows 7: ASUS notebook windows 7 game load problems.

Would be grateful for help. I am a little computer illiterate and don't really understand p.c.'s all that great.

I bought 'The Sims Medieval' PC game a few days ago. Everything installed wonderfully. When i click on the desktop icon to load up the game, a little box pops up saying..

"SimsMedievalLauncher has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."



When i open the 'File location' and load the game that way and a message pops up saying..

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b). Click OK to close the application."

Please help, i have no idea what to do to fix this.
