    hi,
install the last driver for your graphics card.

Turn your anti-virus in game mode if you can and close browsers/downloading programs.

league of legends is an online game. Lag could be caused by other players or by a bad internet connection.
Sometimes, especially with weak CPUs and GPUs, strategy games starts well, but they lag after 5-10 minutes. This is because the units/structures/objects in game increase a lot and they're more difficult to be rendered.

I have a similiar problem with Generals Zero Hour in my old pc (Pentium 4 @2.53GHz, 2GB RAM, Radeon HD 3450 AGP): the game starts at 60fps and end at no more than 20fps...

what graphics card do you have?

try this... download CCleaner if you don't have it (CCleaner - Download) and run it. It will delete browser chache/cookies/temp data and non-usable system files which could slow down your pc. I use it since years and i always have a smart pc Maybe it could fix your problem :)

The latest Nvidia Drivers have caused a LOT of fps problems with the Diana patch (as well as several other games). If you have an Nvidia card, and are running the 301.42 WHQL then UNINSTALL IT. Install the previous drivers and you should be fine.

I agree with Bojazz. If you have a Nvidia card, uninstall driver 301.42 WHQL and install a previous one. I'm using 301.42 WHQL and I have issues with Nvidia control center and with the Nvidia update application, and with some 3D programs.

Sometimes I get some games laggy (especially Generals Zero Hour) since i updated drivers. However, some of them got a nice performance increase (like Skyrim).

I'm waiting for a driver update!

Also take note, you may lag in certain areas harder than normal or experience fps drop. For example when i play lord of the rings online, if im in a place where its dry and less compacted i get way higher fps. When i go to a snowy mountain, and snow is flying everywhere i usually drop some fps anywhere between 5-10.
