xbox 360 wireless, bluetooth headset problem with windows 7 64bit

Hi all its being a while, whether iv posted in the right topic or not appoligies anyway if i have.

The problem is iv purchased the headset today and bought a belkin f8t017 usb Bluetooth dongle. The problems im having is one is the driver disk i got with the dongle wont install, it just says install failed. and the other is the headset wont recognise as a headset for some reason. The headset works on mine and the Mrs mobile phones with out a problem.
Is there something iv missed out? Iv looked on-line but cant find anything specificity about my situation.

    Many thanks
    Ryan

Well, if the driver doesn't install, then the dongle won't work, so it won't allow you to connect to the headset.

have you tried the latest drivers from Belkins site,

thankyou for the reply. I have tried the belkin site to see if it was the disk and it does the same thing. The dongle connects with both mobile phones with out a problem and the headset does with both phones but the dongle does not like the headset, it says its connected but theres drivers missing, thats what's got me thinking but i dont know. Iv just replugged the dongle and in device manager it says error code 43 on the dongle, will that help a little or?

    thanks

You can try the MS Fix It site,
Hardware devices are not working or are not detected in Windows

I can't think of anything off the top of my head to try.
If you have another PC to try it in, see if it does the same. that is what I would do if I was having issues with something.

here is a page showing Code 43 and some things to try,
How To Fix Error Code 43 (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems)

    thanks for the reply.

Iv tried the links above they not making it work and iv also tried this Bluetooth Software Download | Broadcom

Iv run that aswell and says cant download the driver for the bluetooth dongle.
I think you are going to say take it back to pcworld to get a refund.

    many thanks
