Need help with command & conquer games!!!!!

I have the old Command & Conquer games: Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge and they will not run properly on windows 7!!! Please help!
the sound works fine and the game works, like i can click on the buttons but the video doesnt work. The video freezes on the current image unless i change something on screen like adjust volume, then the image changes to the current one and freezes again! driver issue or compatability?

I have tried running in compataibility mode...nothing.
I looked at your list of games for windows 7 and you say that C&C red alert 2 and Yuri's work. how do you set the affinity to run one core?

thanks!

Install and run them in Windows XP compatibility mode and with adminisrator privileges.

If you can't do it, look at this guide: Make older programs run in this version of Windows

Update your graphics card driver.

I'm actually running them perfectly in Windows 7 32bit...

if they are already installed do I have to uninstall them and then re-install them in compatibility mode?
if so how do you do that and enable admin privileges? Also can't find drivers to update.

if you can't find drivers to update, they're already updated.

first, try to run the game with compatibility mode and administrator privileges. Go to your Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge folder and right click on RA2.exe (for Red Alert 2) or RA2MD.exe (for Yuri's Revenge). After right click, select properties.
A window will open. Go in the "compatibility" tab, and set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3. Check the option "run this program as administrator". After doing that, accept new settings and try to launch the game.

This should fix it. If not, uninstall the game and re-install it in this way:
insert your CD, then if the autorun program starts, close it.
Go in Computer, select the drive where you inserted the CD, right click and select "explore".
Then find ad select a file called "setup.exe" or something like that. Right click on it, pick "properties", go in "compatibility tab" and set the values i told you before for RA2.exe or RA2MD.exe files.
Then complete the installation normally. After the installation is completed, try to launch the game normally.

update them...
what is happening now?

how are you installing the games? from C&C the first decade or from Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge CDs?

If from RA2/YR CDs, install the patches for the games (last versions are 1.006 for RA2 and 1.001 for YR)

If from C&C the first decade, install the unofficial patch v1.03 rev2 or rev4.
