Trying to play age of empires 3 but encountered msxml 4.0 problem

msxml 4.0 was not installed properly or not compatible or some crap like that. I am very annoyed. I lost my case and disk but have the game file still. So when i click on the app, it says C:\Windows\Syswow64\mssxml4.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Then in says it wasnt installed correctly.
I tried to install this msxmll 4.0 but it stops and says an error occured during the installation of assembly

    Hresult: 0x8007054f
Please show me how to get this game working
But instead of pressingokay when installing that dll. I went to my game and IT STARTS but then
    Initialization failed
    Direct3d initialization failed. Possible causes
    old or corrupted graphics driver
    Direct 3d pimproperly installed
    Hardware acceleration disabled
starting the application with the workstation docked
PLEASE SHOW ME HOW TO SOLVE EACH ERROR AND SHOW ME HOW TO UNINSTALL THE CURRENT MSXMLL SO I CAN INSTALL THE NEW ONE. BUT THEN PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THAT ERROR TOO. AND THEN PLEASE SHOW ME HOW TO FIX THE NEXT ONE.
    Thankyou sooomuch

You saved the game file in anticipation of losing your disk?

Ensure that this is a complete and legitimate game file. Otherwise you are wasting people's time.

    1. Did you uninstall and reinstall the newest version of your graphics card driver?
    2. Did you attempt to uninstall the 2 updates for msxml 4.0 and reinstall from windows update or download center?

    3. Failing all of this, you will more than likely need the physical DVD to install the game. You will need the code anyway, which is usually stored with the game DVD in a box. You may need to purchase a replacement. The full version should be around $20 USD

If you cannot find it here: Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

Then it may be listed here: Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Update\View update history

^ For the second option, you will need to uninstall the update via this tutorial, if you cannot find the updates in control panel: Windows Update - Uninstall an Update

This is what it should look like:

In order to get to those locations, you will need to have windows explorer open, and enter the locations in at the top. You can also copy it (italicized above) and paste it using [Ctrl+V].
