    Monitors Flatscreens Quality Realness

    Have a question for Everyone

I want to know what is a good size gaming monitor

My current Monitor isn't as bright as it used to be so I kinda want to get a new one
I've had it for atleast 6 years 22" Envision

I might just go ahead and use my HDMI cable to see how it would really look vs VGA set up

I have used View Sonic before ,I know they are a great brand knowing that i had a 17" Ultrabright that lasted almost 10 years

I been scouring my local store for a nice Monitor i was also thinking about a dual monitor set up but let's be real I think im better off with a single sizable monitor without going all out especially i would have to get two if the same
Micro Center - Viewsonic VX2753MH-LED 27" Widescreen LED Monitor VX2753MH-LED here is one of the monitors i checked out

and here is another Micro Center - ASUS VE278Q 27" Widescreen LED Monitor VE278Q

If it was for me I would get like a 24inch monitor but that's just my preference though i do have a tv that is 26inchs in the other part of my house and it's a pretty good size. I think that 27inch would be big enough to fit lots of stuff on the desktop with the resolution set all the way up so it can fit more icons since they get smaller the higher the resolution is. I think the 27inch would be a good choice.

ATM, I have a 24" LG that does very well, previously a 22".
I do think 24" is about perfect for a Desktop monitor since you do sit close to them. I do worry if 27" may be just a bit too big. That extra 3" is quite a bit when you're only 3-4ft away.

At any count, I would say 24" is perfect and what I would be looking into at the least for your upgrade.
Though, I must say the 27 Viewsonic looks nice, still seriously considering it myself. Been eyeing that one one for a couple months now.

Yes the ViewSonic was my First choice at 22 " my monitor is huge but as it has Degraded in quality over the years

Maybe later today I can take a look at some of the models in person like you said 27 is huge but for gaming it is great Resolution

I was wowed on youtube by NFS video and Dirt showdown the Display quality was insane I have dirt 3 and showdown but i want that NFS too and with a new Crisp monitor good luck trying to get me out of the chair

    I went with this a few months ago.> Newegg.com - ASUS VS248H-P Black 24" 2ms HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1

Essenbe/Steve also bought one. Amazing is all I can say.

This is LED backlit LCD not a CCFL.
We got them on sale for about $170.

Steve nor I had any dead pixels.

It is available at other stores besides Newegg I'm not sure where though. Amazon did have them.

I can only speak for this size and exact model VS-248H-P. Excellent.

The choices I priced the viewsonic with tax 331.24 27" inch

I just need to see how big it will be in person I'm going to look at all sizes

Because looking at normal pages and such do effect the size as well the biger the size the harder it is to read and you have to enlarge the Icons no problem with it but if 27 is too huge then 24 to 26 would be Ideal

I can't do much right now as into physicaly looking stores are closed today i will be looking though

and the money is right never payed that much for a regular monitor but the size looks worth the money
Micro Center - Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED 24" Widescreen LED Monitor VX2453MH-LED 24 inch view sonic with HDMI ports <-------im looking to go with HDMI ports for the best HD i can get

oh man and the 27 inch version only 4 in stock now damn i can't decide who wants to take a trip to microcenter with me

27" is easier to read since everything is larger at 1080p.

And dvi would be the better connection over hdmi unless you needed to get audio to the monitor.
