    Ok here is the update...

    So far I have Oblivion working with out any problems.

    COD4 is fine when playing the cinematics but when playing in game it is buggy. Walls go missing and there are flashes of light, strange really.

    BF2142 presents its own problem, the game is still telling me to insert the disk and restart the application. This happens when I launch from the desktop shortcut as well as when I launch directly from the cd.

    Any ideas on how to fix the bugging in COD4? Also has anyone expierenced the disk problem I am having with 2142 or any ideas on how to fix it?

    Thanks =D
    have all these games been updated??

    In regards to game patches, yes =D I have installed BF2 and updated the patch to 1.4 (most current) and it is working. 2142 still asks me to insert the game disk and restart the program. idk what the deal is with that one =(

    Neg, I dont have any. Do you think if I were to get a drive emulating program I might be able to fix my problem? Or were you asking because you think that might have been the issue?

    the only way i see it is that you click under compatability mode "change settings for all users"....
    i think thats the only reason it should be grayed out...

    That was it =D I had tried a list of different things trying to get any game working I must of forgot about that one. thanks man. So I have Oblivion and COD4 up and running. COD4 bugs out sometimes, but runs generally runs good. BF2142 still trips me out, it is still telling me to insert disk and restart the app, even if I launch it from the disk. any thoughts on that one?
