FRAPS still the best way to record in-game videos?

DiRT 3's in-game YouTube upload feature, whilst working fine, uploads very poor quality footage to YouTube.

Is FRAPS still the best way to record in-game videos? (like it used to be years ago)

I will be recording games such as DiRT 3 in Ultra quality @ 1680x1050 on the following system:

Intel Core i5-750
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 (1 GB)

MSI Afterburner has built in video recording. And is a little less resource hungry from what i've read. Also you can set a fan profile up for your graphics card too. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak
