Planetary Annihilation on Kickstarter

Planetary annhiliation on kickstarter

The trailer demo on youtube

"Planetary Annihilation brings Real-Time Strategy to a new generation of gamers in a way they’ve never been seen before: Total Annihilation-inspired gameplay on a planetary scale."

They are pretty close to a major goal

"Galactic War. You will be able to destroy entire galaxies in this new mode, provided the Kickstarter fund reaches $1.8 million.

Galactic War allows players to wage war solo or in local co-op against the game's Skirmish AI, or go online to battle other players. Every galaxy in the metagame is generated procedurally, so no two play sessions are ever the same. Factions can be joined online to engage in some truly massive battles, plus there are clan war servers for battle between individual factions. No galaxy in Planetary Annihilation should be safe at that rate.

Supporters have asked Uber for more single-player action in PA, and the developer didn't want to deliver a pre-scripted campaign. Galactic War is a way to add more enjoyment and a longer life to the RTS, so why not try and reach the goal for it?"

Feel free to have a look, their trailer looks friggin awesome.

I mean really, really, awesome.
