Windows 7: Dungeon Keeper 2

Please can anybody tell me if there is a fix for this? Here is my situation:

I have not played this game for many years but as I was bored waiting for AION release I thought I would have a crack at it again and I have played it with no problems for the first four levels, however on level five (when you have the option to take two paths) it crashes at random times or if I try to access the menu. It just crashes to desktop with DKII.exe has stopped working. I have tried Win98, WinXP SP2 compatibility, tried ticking disable visual theme and all those boxes, and yes I am updated to the latest 1.7 patch so I'm stumped and a sad panda right now because I can't play it!



Any tips please?

EDIT: Forgot to mention I am running on x64.

Nevermind it seems I had some hacked corrupt version known as "Silver Edition" that crashes after level 4 so I bought the original game cheap off Ebay!
